Six Nations of the Grand River Territory - Bridge #7 Replacement

This project will entail the design and replacement of Six Nations of the Grand River Territory's Bridge #7 which is located on Chiefswood Road, 400 m north of 3rd Line. The Bridge provides crossing over Mckenzie Creek and has an Average Annual Daily Traffic count of 1500. This bridge was identified in a 2013 Ontario Structure Inspection Manual Inspection and Condition Assessment of Bridges and Culverts as needing to have a deck condition survey completed on it. The Bridge Condition Survey which was completed in 2015 by Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure. The report recommended the replacement of the bridge.


Latest update

August 27, 2020 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination https://www.ceaa-acee.gc.ca/050/evaluations/document/135864 and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. .
