Equipment shelter replacement

The Coast Guard is to replace its equipment shelter at the MCTS site in Moisie, Quebec. The project involves excavating the soil to build the concrete foundation, then placing the prefabricated equipment shelter on this foundation. The prefabricated equipment shelter will be transported from Quebec City to Moisie, so construction of the shelter will not be done on site.

The contractor hired for the construction work will need to use heavy machinery to complete the project. Mainly, but not exclusively, an excavator, a vibrating plate and a crane will be used to move the shelter onto its foundation. Transport trucks, a trailer truck and concrete mixers will also be used on site.
