The authors, Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture, make the dubious claim that their “submission is submitted by and on behalf of residents in Melgund Township and local peoples”.
However, the IAAC and its Tailored Impact Statement Guidelines (TISG) should be made aware that Melgund Township never held any sort of vote on NWMO’s proposed DGR project at the Revell site, and that therefore any claim by Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture of a “submission is submitted by and on behalf of residents in Melgund Township and local peoples” must be seen as a bogus attempt at achieving a nonexistent public representation.
As a matter of fact, a resident of Dyment (a hamlet in Melgund Township) who is a steadfast opponent of the DGR project, proclaimed in no uncertain terms that “most of the people here are for it”
