Protection, WASH and Shelter for IDPs, Returnees in Amhara, Ethiopia

With GAC's support, this project by Canadian Lutheran World Relief aims to address humanitarian needs of vulnerable individuals in Amhara, Ethiopia through the provision of life-saving activities and services including emergency water, sanitation, protection, and shelter. Project activities include: (1) restoring water points and sanitation facilities; (2) providing shelter and non-food items to displaced households; and (3) supporting protection services to mitigate the increased risk of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) for vulnerable women and girls.

July 21 , 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Global Affairs Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
