Alexandra Patrol Cabin Demolition and Removal

The Alexandra Patrol Cabin has been in a state of disrepair since its last inspection in 2007. The Alexandra river trail is now designated as a wilderness trail and has not been maintained to for several years. The goal of the project is to return the cabin site to its natural state thereby achieving Parks Canada Agency goals of habitat restoration and improving ecological integrity. The project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment.


Latest update

13 September 2020 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Parks Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
