Gakijiwanong Anishinaabe Nation - Wellness Centre Development

Gakijiwanong Anishinaabe Nation is proposing to build a new wellness centre >1000m2 on an existing prepared site with water and sewer connections completed. There will be no further physical activities before construction as the site is already developed, but there will be re-grading and landscaping works once the construction is complete. 


Latest update

January 14, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until February 14, 2025 respecting the determination.
