Naicatchewenin First Nation - Lot Servicing Project for Future Houses

Naicatchewenin First Nation proposes this project to clear, service and prepare lots to accomodate future construction of homes. Utility installation for water pipelines and sewer pipelines will be >100m in length and the physical footprint of the proposed access road will be >100m2. Physical activities include grubbing of existing trees and shrubs, earth works related to site preparation and installing independent water and waste water services to each lot.

November 28, 2023 - The public comment period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause adverse environmental effects.

September 13, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until October 13, 2023 respecting the determination.
