Rock Creek Trail Development

The Rock Creek Trail is adjacent to the Rock Creek Campground in the East Block of Grasslands National Park (49.0708N, -106.5307W). It is the entry point to a series of other trails that branch from it, acting as the base for most of the East Block trail system. The objective of the project is to upgrade the trail alignment and surface to improve the trail experience. The trail will be constructed such that it be a more accessible trail to service a wider range of visitor needs, moving from a mowed single track to a Type I trail of packed aggregate typical of a front country trail. Project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment.

Latest update
