Rubstone Trail Development

The Rubstone is adjacent to the Ecotour Scenic Drive in the West Block of Grasslands National Park (49.1836N, -107.5596W). The objective of the project is to create a new trail experience that provides an additional short-distance, easy option to the park's trail system, highlight the cultural features of the park, improve the park's accessibility, and better protect the cultural resources at the site. The trail will be constructed such that it be a fully accessible trail to service a wider range of visitor needs, moving from a mowed single track access to points of interest into a Type I trail of packed aggregate typical of a front country trail. Project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment.

Latest update
