Alma Street Parkette Shoreline Protections

The breakwall and infrastructure at the end of Alma Street by the Detroit River is in need of emergency replacement due to high water erosion. Continued shoreline erosion impacts have resulted in the requirement to re-construct the breakwall to preserve the sidewalk, stormwater pump station and stormwater outlets in the area. Construction would involve a breakwall made of natural material, which would protect the shoreline while supporting fish habitat improvements.
