Glen Rouge Campground Revitalization

The broader objective of this project is the full scale revitalization of the Glen Rouge Campground including all utility infrastructure and amenities within the existing campground footprint with intended increased service offers. The project will also involve consideration of interpretation programs as well as with facilities for interpretation within the campground, trail head, interpretation and basic orientation information facilities external to the campground. Given the broader objective, the specific objectives of the project will include: Recapitalize existing public washroom/shower facility, recapitalize existing staircase access to washroom/shower facility to improve visitor safety, replace or recapitalize campground gatehouse within existing footprint to improve operational functionality and security, recapitalize existing storage/maintenance facility and immediate surrounding area, reorient boundaries and layout of individual campsites to improve demarcation with renewed ID posts, fire pits, picnic tables, etc., addition of temporary crush gravel parking spaces near temporary accessible washroom unit and visitor reception kiosk within campground interior.
