Lubicon Lake Band Health Centre and Head Start Building

The project consist of 2 buildings located in close proximity to each other. The Horseshoe Road divides the building site into two parcels, one north and one on the southern site. The Health Centre is located north and is approximately 9,700sf in size. The building site will have some landscaping, pathways, a parking lot and access to the Horseshoe Road. The site is to be cleared following the fire smart design and the tree line will be shaped to organically align with the overall suite design and natural aspects. The Head Start building is located opposite of the Horseshoe Road to the south and contains the same features but in addition a playground and some public landscape areas which will be fenced to protect young kids form wildlife. The Head Start building is approximately 3,700 sf in area.


Latest update

December 14, 2025 – The public comment period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
